Terms of service

These terms cover using the Mikke app and website. We've kept them readable — but they're still the agreement between you and us.

1. Agreement

Mikke is provided by Mediamatic Ltd (“we”, “us”). By joining the waitlist, creating an account or using Mikke, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The service

Mikke serves pre-built, cached dog-walking routes with sniff stops, points of interest, turn-by-turn follow and a stray alert. Routes are contributed and verified by the community. We aim for accuracy but can't guarantee every detail is current — always use your own judgement on the ground.

3. Your account

Keep your login details secure and give us accurate information. You're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 16 to use Mikke.

4. Mikke Pass, pricing & cancellation

Mikke is free to start. Mikke Pass is a paid subscription (£2/month or £14.99/year, coming soon) that unlocks offline downloads, filters, dog-friendly corridors and live safety alerts. It renews automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date; cancel any time and you keep Pass until the period ends. Prices are confirmed at launch and may change with notice.

5. Your content

Snaps, notes, ratings and routes you add stay yours. You give us a licence to store and show them so the app works — for example, displaying a route you contributed to other walkers. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share.

6. Community data & honesty

Some places aren't tagged yet, and we'll say so rather than fake it. Contributed content should be accurate and in good faith; we may edit or remove content that's wrong, unsafe or abusive.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse Mikke: no scraping, reverse-engineering, disrupting the service, or using it to break the law or endanger people or animals.

8. Safety

The stray alert and directions are helpers, not a substitute for supervising your dog and staying aware of your surroundings, traffic and local rules. You're responsible for your and your dog's safety on every walk.

9. Warranties & liability

Mikke is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; we'll post the new date and flag material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Questions? hello@getmikke.app.
